Small Kitchen, Smart Idea

"Designed by Kristin Laass and Norman Ebelt from Germany, this clever project is called “Small Type” and it has the wonderful and extremely practical ability of fitting in almost any interior, no matter how tiny. Measuring only one square meter when closed, this compact kitchen serves as a table, a refrigerator, an oven, a sink and a storage space. In fact, we dare you check out the photos and tell us if there is anything missing that you would otherwise find in a common kitchen. This design is not only practical, but also looks amazing. It could easily be complemented by a simple set of chairs  in order to create a cozy work area.  This product was showcased at the DMY International Design Festival Berlin 2010 and it is one of the six small kitchens presented by students. We salute these type of small apartment ideas, especially nowadays, where the need for space seems to be crucial."
